Interact - Rotary International's service club program for young
adults at the secondary school level, was officially inaugurated
on 28 October 1962. The foundation of Interact marked a new
approach to youth service for Rotary. For the first time,
Rotarians were not just serving youth, but were empowering them
to serve in their communities and internationally with their
Rotary club sponsors.
Rotary Club of Kota is committed to the task of building
future generations by instilling the spirit of Service above
Self amongst school children. Interact Clubs offer secondary
school students an opportunity to channelize their energies to
productive ends. Today, Interact Club Members organize blood
donation camps, hold rallies to espouse various causes,
assisting the visually challenged by reading to them, visiting
senior citizens' care centres and spreading cheer, bonding with
children afflicted with cancer and other major programmes.
Rotary Club of Kota plays the role of a mentor and guides the
Interact Clubs in executing these noteworthy projects. The
Interact Club Members also benefit from Career Guidance
Initiatives organized by the Rotary Club of Kota.
Today, 00 Interact Clubs have been sponsored by the Rotary Club
of Kota.
